It’s #givingtuesday and the Perfect Time to Double your Impact with your #extraordinarygenerosity

Today is #givingtuesday and Compeat encourages everyone to get involved. Having served the restaurant industry for over 20 years, we have seen over and over again how restaurants give back. From donating food to first responders and healthcare workers, helping the homeless, to opening their doors to locals during weather disasters – restaurants seem to give every time there is a need.

#givingtuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. #givingtuesday was born and incubated at the 92nd Street Y and its Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact in New York City. It’s is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

On this @givingtuesday, the world will likely see an unprecedented show of generosity in response to the coronavirus and our hope is that hungry kids will see the difference you make today. Children in America are facing extraordinary times: families out of work, food lines, and closed schools and cafeterias. As the coronavirus crisis continues, 1 in 4 kids may face hunger this year. Extraordinary times like these call for #extraordinarygenerosity.

Because of this we encourage you to donate to one of our favorite organizations today, No Kid Hungry. Some of the greatest leaders in our industry are involved in No Kid Hungry to help solve child hunger. They believe NO CHILD SHOULD GROW UP HUNGRY IN AMERICA.

Today, as part of #givingtuesday, No Kid Hungry has a goal to raise $100,000 in one day which will allow them to provide millions of meals to kids who need help. Every dollar will be matched by Citi!!
