Compeat Peeps Dedicate a Day to Making a Difference in our Community

Continuing a new tradition, Compeat Peeps recently spent a day doing something we love to do – giving back to our community.

Compeat peeps painted buildings, repaired barn doors, helped build a rainwater collection system, did some landscaping, groomed horses, picked up trash, and even formed a human chain to recover a bike out of a pond! There were plenty of breaks to cuddle with the adorable animals but the Compeat Peeps were dedicated to getting as much accomplished as absolutely possible.

Some of the great Austin charities served were:

  • Spirit Reins – A beautiful ranch that focuses on working with children and families who have experienced trauma to make sure they have the tools and resources they need to reach their full potential and contribute to their community.

  • Keep Austin Beautiful – An organization that empowers citizens to take personal responsibility for enhancing the community’s environment.

  • Animal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals –  An organization that works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with shelters nationwide.

“My favorite part of Community Service Day is uniting our diverse group of Compeat Peeps to make a difference in our community and build an even stronger camaraderie,” said Renee Harris, Human Resources Manager for Compeat.

After our day of service, the Compeat crew met up for some food, drinks, and laughter at Dave and Buster’s, a Compeat customer who is especially near and dear to our hearts.

It was definitely a memorable and exciting day for Compeat – Check out the highlights from our day and be sure to give these wonderful organizations some love!
