Inventory

Compeat includes a complete inventory control system. Inventory items are tracked from the time they are ordered, through the invoice, and until they are sold.


Inventory is the broad term used by Compeat to collectively identify the many features of inventory valuation, theoretical ingredient and recipe costing, sales mix analysis, menu engineering, and much more.

The home office creates and maintains the Master Inventory list and recipes. Individual restaurants maintain inventories that are subsets of the master list. Different restaurants may maintain the same inventory item with different definitions, such as different pack-sizes, or different locations within the restaurant.


Since no data resides in the restaurant (all of the data resides at the home office), the addition of an inventory item or change of a recipe is instantly available to all the restaurants. There is no synchronization of data needed with Compeat.
